Something New

I'm gonna try something a little new for a bit. I've been drawing doodles on my computer so I'll put those up for a while.

Hard To Sleep

It's hard to sleep
with your mind on the moon
and your soul miles away.
You thought you made a clean breakaway
but it turns out the pains here to stay.
Though your body is willing to move on and forget
your mind is not yet ready
to forgive and never look back.
Despite what you say
the song remains the same
and the memory will always remain.
Burned into the newfound flesh
(the only un-scarred skin I can find)
